“Storytelling is the most powerful way to put ideas into the world today.”
To re-call and to give impact to this method of storytelling, storytelling day is the declared to celebrate on 27th April. Here, people of all ages are encouraged to share all different kinds of stories to promote and to make alive the importance of the story telling tradition.
Story includes entertaining as well as education and it is our ancient practice used to hand down knowledge from one generation to next generation. It’s so interesting and a free learning for the new generation also get the knowledge about their traditions, histories and learning other manners and values in form of story indirectly .The story heard in form of a imaginary character always remains in our memory.
Story listening is the favorite activity which children like to do by sitting silently, The story characters and situation takes them in the imaginations, so by sitting at one place they involve themselves in the story and get excited to know ahead, sometimes many questions comes in their mind related to the story and which they understands and get clarity for the practical life to implement. Children learn good things from the story and when situation comes, they connect themselves to it, yes it is good and it is bad, they have heard in the story and according to the moral of the story concluded they analyze and give respond to the situation. .
Even for professional level the story is helpful to narrate the situation happened to solve the cases, here in law happened things are registered as a case for the reference for lawyers to get the guidance.
Its impact is even on the small and on the elder too. By taking the children favorite character you can teach them the whole syllabus and they will not come to know by this act that they have completed their whole syllabus. In every house grandparents are famous for telling stories to their grandchildren. It increases the bonding between teller and listener.
We also encourage everyone to tell story WHY?? Because Storytelling forms a crucial part in developing your child’s overall personality. It is an age-old tradition followed by parents since time immemorial that has been a part of most of our own childhood too.
Children all over the world love listening to stories. They want to know more about their favorite characters and often try to emulate them. By telling your child stories that come with a meaningful message, you can definitely inculcate qualities like wisdom, courage, honesty, etc. from an early age into your little one through stories.
