Description
 
From a standing position, the legs are in a wide stance with the feet aligned and flat on the earth. The back foot is in a 60-degree angle towards the front. The hips are squared. The inner thighs are rotated towards each other. The front knee is bent in a 90-degree angle directly above the ankle. The arms extend up to the sky with the biceps by the ears. The hands can be together or separated and facing each other with the fingers spread wide. The ribcage is lifted and the pelvis tucked. The gaze is forward.

Every one needs a good resting pose and Child’s pose is an awesome one not just for beginners but for yoga practitioners of all levels.
 
It’s good to learn child’s pose to use when you’re fatigued in Down Dog, before bed at night to work out the kinks, or anytime you need a mental break and stress/tension relief.
How to do it: Start on all fours then bring your knees and feet together as you sit your butt back to your heels and stretch your arms forward. Lower your forehead to the floor (or block or pillow or blanket) and let your entire body release. Hold for as long as you wish!

GTU students build 9k toilets in 107 villages

Gujarat Technological University (GTU) has channelised the energy of its students to construct 9,000 toilets in 107 villages across the state last fortnight. While 6,000 students of the National Service Scheme (NSS) wing of Bachelor of Engineering (BE) courses from 57 colleges gave voluntary labour for two days, District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) spent Rs 12,000 on each toilet to provide materials and two masons to complete the task.
