RECIPE : Cabbage Patties / Cake
Ingredients
500 gms cabbage, finely chopped
2 medium green chillies, finely chopped
2 teaspoons garlic, finely chopped
2 teaspoons onion, finely chopped
For Binding
50 gms chicpea flour
20 gms Rice flour
20 gms refined flour
Or optional plain bread crumbs and water to bind
Salt, red chilli powder to taste
Wee bit Oil
Method :
1. Take the chopped cabbage and other chopped ingredients along with powdered spices in a bowl. Mix well
2. Add plain breadcrumbs (optional if the three flours are unavailable) and or a mixture of the three flour along with water to bind it into cabbage mixture
3. Gently form into patties. Shallow fry and allow it to cook well (take care patties not to be too thick and cabbage not roughly chopped else it may take more time to cook and still cabbage may be raw)
4. Can be had hot or cold
5. Can be had with or without sauce or chutney
6. Can be had as a snack and also with luncheon
